With appearances in select cites from Flyleaf, Kirk Franklin, Red, Skillet, DecembeRadio, and Hawk Nelson. Franklin Graham will share a presentation of the Gospel at each event. Attendees will have an opportunity to respond to the Gospel, be encouraged by trained peers and then related back to local caring churches.
The purpose of Rock the River is to share the Good News of the Gospel with tens of thousands of young people and young adults along the Mississippi River basin from Louisiana to Minnesota in a fun, festival setting. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will train thousands of young people to walk with Jesus Christ and train them on how to share God’s love with their friends.
Rock the River tour will travel to multiple cities in July and August 2009.

We are engaged in a bold mission at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to reach America’s youth. During our large, evangelistic Crusades in the last few years, more than two-thirds of those who made decisions for Christ were youth.
Now we are launching a dynamic new way of carrying out our Crusade ministry with a series of youth-focused, evangelistic outdoor concerts called Rock the River – high energy, festival gatherings designed entirely for young people.
The enemy is doing everything possible to steer our children and grandchildren away from Jesus. We must reach them in a way that is effective for their generation and clearly show them the way to eternal salvation through Jesus Christ. But we need your help.
