Five ways that Rock the Fort can benefit your church…

Your participation and the participation of your congregation in the Rock the Fort outreach can help your church become stronger in its witness and community impact. Following are five specific ways you and your church enjoy spiritual blessings from being involved:

1. Training in Evangelism and Discipleship
Many committed Christians are either afraid of or simply do not know how to share their faith. The Christian Life and Witness Course will teach members of your congregation how to effectively share their faith and serve as counselors and disciple-makers for Rock the Fort. This training has long term benefits for ongoing evangelism and discipleship in your church.

2. A Plan of Action for building Relationships
Christians are being trained in a simple, biblical method to build relationships and share their faith. This ministry will help Christians work with their relationships to find friends and relatives who need Christ, pray for them, and invite them to the Rock the Fort event where they will hear the message of salvation. This also provides an on-going relational approach for evangelism in your church beyond Rock the Fort.

3. Unity
The common cause of reaching the next generation through Rock the Fort will foster unity among believers. Christ’s commandment to love one another will find expression as members of various churches and denominations come together and find the power of a united witness for Christ. This love and unity will find expression in acts of kindness that will be expressed throughout the community.

4. New Christians in your Church
Jesus’ mandate to disciple the nations is still in effect (Matt.28:19). The Rock the Fort outreach is designed to channel new believers into your church, so you can encourage them to further spiritual growth. The future of the church lies in reaching and discipling the next generation.

5. Spiritual Renewal
Rock the Fort will be a refreshing time of renewal. As Christians come together for training, the emphasis will be on spiritual renewal as well as sharing Jesus. This emphasis will serve as a catalyst for the spiritual growth.

From volunteer service to prayer, there are many ways for individuals to get involved with a Rock the Fort, too:

  • Pray regularly for Rock the Fort. Participate in Bring a Friend, a simple plan to reach those who need Jesus Christ.
  • Attend the Christian Life & Witness Course. This training opportunity is designed to help Christians revitalize their faith and learn to share it with others.
  • Be a Counselor & Small Group Bible Study Leader.
